Dear Strangers:
As you all know (and even if you didn't!) I am adopted. My biological mother was only 16 in 1963 and there was no 'single mother' movement back then (and luckily no abortion).
Recently I got word that she too had signed up for the post-adoption registry, and now we're in contact!
She's in Alberta, married with family and very happy to hear from me! Phew! So far so good! Anyhow, it's all very exciting & newsworthy, eh?
40 years old, but I feel like a little kid again! lol!

When did you find out you were adopted? And how did that affect your relationship with your parents?
I'm glad you tracked your mother down. I'm just being nosy. Feel free to ignore my questions if you don't want to answer.

She's in Calgary & I'm in Winnipeg, it's about 800 miles or something.
I knew from a young age, my parents thought it best to tell me, which I agree with. I don't think it affected our relationship in any negative way, since I was adopted as an infant. There's never been any doubt in my mind who my parents are, and my bio-parents.
It's good to be curious, Jace, release your inner cat!
Two half-siblings, a brother and sister, and two bio-step-siblings too! (A bio-step-bro and a bio-step-sis, lol!) And my bio-mom really loves animals, go figure!
